asked the Secretary of State for War, with reference to the Petitions which he has received during the last five years from Lower Division Clerks in the War Office, on the subject of holidays and sick leave, What are the points which have been referred to the Treasury; on what dates the first and last communications to the Treasury were made; whether any reply has been received from the Treasury; and, when he expects to be in a position to give his decision on the questions referred to in the Petitions?

, in. reply, said, that the communication with the Treasury on the subject referred to in the Question had not yet been concluded. As soon as a final reply had been received from the Treasury, he would have no objection to give whatever information he possessed on the subject.
