asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Whether he proposes to introduce the Budget before Easter?

It is, Sir, a little early to fix absolutely the day for opening the Budget; but I hope to do so before Easter, and probably on Monday, the 7th of April, provided that the Franchise Bill has been read a second time.
