HC Deb 12 February 1884 vol 284 c676
MR. ONSLOW

asked Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, Whether it is the intention of Her Majesty's Government to ask for a Vote of Credit on account of the expenses incurred for the reinforcements being sent to the Red Sea?

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER (Mr. CHILDERS)

In reply, I have to say that I am in communication with the Secretary of State for War and the Secretary to the Admiralty on this matter, and if an Estimate is required it will be presented in due course without any delay.

MR. ONSLOW

Can the right hon. Gentleman say whether any money will be required?

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER (Mr. CHILDERS)

This is altogether a premature Question.
