MR. BROADHURST

said, he begged to move the second reading of the Bill, which stood in the name of an hon. Friend of his; and as there was no Notice of opposition he should also move that it be referred to the Select Committee on Canals. He would not detain the House with any further explanation.

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That the Bill be now read a second time, and referred to the Select Committee on Canals."—(Mr. Broadhurst.)
