HC Deb 14 June 1883 vol 280 cc544-5
MR. O'BRIEN

asked the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Whether any communications passing between Mr. Errington and the Foreign Office will be printed for the information of the House?

LORD EDMOND FITZMAURICE

No, Sir; it is not intended to do so.

MR. O'BRIEN

Might I ask whether the noble Lord thinks that it is a satisfactory state of things that the people of England and of Ireland should be left dependent upon interviews with the correspondent of The New York Herald for information as to what has passed on this matter?

MR. SPEAKER

The hon. Member is now asking the noble Lord for his opinion, which is not regular in a Question.
