CAMERON (for Mr. DICK - PEDDIE)asked the President of the 1136 Board of Trade, Whether his attention has been drawn to the circumstance that the foul water from the irrigated meadows between Portobello and Leith is sometimes allowed, along a considerable extent of these meadows, to overflow on the foreshore, which is thereby rendered, at times, impassable; and, whether he will take steps to secure that the discharge from the meadows shall be confined to defined channels?
§ MR. CHAMBERLAIN, in reply, said, that he had communicated with the owners of the meadows, but had not, as yet, received any answer.
