§ MR. CHAMBERLAINThis is a matter of some importance, which en- 960 gaged the attention of the Standing Committee on Trade. An Amendment to restore the right of Registrars of the County Courts to practise in Bankruptcy outside their own Courts did not commend itself to the Committee; and it was negatived, after some discussion, without a Division. At the same time, I do think that the matter is one which may deserve a little further consideration. If, however, the House should see fit to support the views of the Standing Committee on Trade, I do not think any case can be established for compensation.
