§ BARON HENRY DE WORMS (for Mr. ASHMEAD-BARTLETT)asked the Under Secretary of State for India, Whether it is a fact that a convoy of arms and ammunition sent by the Viceroy of India to the Ameer of Afghanistan has been captured, after a sharp 480 fight in the Kyber Pass, by the Afridis; and if so, who composed the escort, and what is the value of the munitions captured?
§ MR. J. K. CROSSI am happy to inform the hon. Gentleman that no such capture has occurred in the Khyber Pass. No arms or ammunition for the Ameer have passed the Khyber since the 2nd of February.
