§ MR. TREVELYANA sworn inquiry was opened to-day in the case of the girl who died of fever at Kilmoree, and one will be opened to-morrow into the case of John Burke, who died near Loughrea. I can give no further information at present.

Gentleman was aware that the local Guardians had protested against the character of the witnesses called by the Local Government Board officer, on the ground that because of their prejudice their evidence was not likely to throw full light upon the facts of the case?
