HC Deb 27 April 1883 vol 278 c1279
LORD RANDOLPH CHURCHILL

asked, Whether the Prime Minister could give any indication of what place in the order of precedence the Parliamentary Elections (Corrupt and Illegal Practices) Bill would occupy?

MR. GLADSTONE

That is a Bill already before the House, and I consider it to be embraced in the declaration made a few days ago, when I said that when we saw our way to conclude the debate on the second reading of the Parliamentary Oaths Act (1866) Amendment Bill, I should then endeavour to give the best indication I could in regard to the Tenants' Compensation Bill and any other subjects that are pending.
