HC Deb 19 April 1883 vol 278 c621
SIR HERBERT MAXWELL

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, If his attention has been called to the following telegraphic news in the "Daily Telegraph" of the 17th instant:— New York, April 16. The statement that Tynan, the notorious 'No 1' of the Invincibles, has gone to Mexico is unfounded. He is living in New York State with his family, and, though not courting ohservation, moves about freely under an alias; Whether he has any information as to its accuracy; and, if the information contained in it is correct, whether steps will be taken, or have been taken, to obtain the extradition of Tynan?

SIR WILLIAM HARCOURT

I must ask the hon Member not to press his Question, because I think that answering it now would be disadvantageous to the Public Service.
