§ MR. LEWISwished to ask a Question of which he had given private Notice. Would the Prime Minister state whether the Government would support the application of the 1st Procedure Rule to the Business of the House during the present Session?
MR. GLADSTONEI have had no Notice of this Question. But I have no power whatever to give it an answer. It would he very wrong in me to make any statement in regard to it anterior to the occurrence of a state of things that may call for its operation.
