HC Deb 09 November 1882 vol 274 c1128
COLONEL NOLAN

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, If he can state what is the present qualification for the post of guardian in the Clifden Union, and if the Local Government Board will consider the propriety of reducing the money qualification required in that union?

MR TREVELYAN

The qualification for the post of Guardian in the Clifden Union is £30. The Local Government Board inform me that one of the Guardians gave notice of bringing forward the question, and showing reasons why the qualification should be reduced. On receiving a report of the proceedings, the Board will carefully consider the matter.
