HC Deb 07 November 1882 vol 274 cc940-1
MR. O'KELLY

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether Mr. Sub-Commissioner Roper has been repeatedly engaged in litigation with his Roscommon tenants?

MR. TREVELYAN

I have telegraphed this Question, which only appeared this morning, to Mr. Roper, and he replies that he commenced proceedings against three or four tenants who owed several years' rent; that he settled with them, and that he is on the best terms with all his tenants.
