MR. COURTNEY

asked for a Vote of Credit of £2,137,750 for the Civil Service and Revenue Departments. A Vote on Account for two months was passed early in the Session. Those two months had now nearly expired, and it was necessary for the Public Service that another Vote be granted.

Motion made, and Question proposed, That a further sum, not exceeding £2,137,750, be granted to Her Majesty, on account, for or towards defraying the Charge for the following Civil Services and Revenue Departments for the year ending on the 31st day of March 1883, viz.:—
