CAINEasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department a Question of which he had given him private Notice, with reference to the imprisonment with hard labour for one month of a member of the Salvation Army in Hampshire for an alleged assault on the police, and the refusal of the magistrate to state a case for an appeal.
