asked the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies, If he can state when the Papers relative to domestic slavery in Hong Kong will be in the hands of Members?

MR. COURTNEY

, in reply, said, he was sorry these Papers had not already been distributed. They had been for some time completed, and were, he believed, in print; but a question had arisen on which it was necessary to consult the Law Officers of the Crown. He had just heard from the Attorney General that their opinion might be expected immediately. As soon as it was received the Papers would be distributed.
