COURTNEYSir, the amount to be contributed from public funds towards the maintenance of refugees at Malta has not yet been agreed to, as it depends on the actual expenditure, on the number of British subjects, not natives of Malta, and on the amount which maybe contributed from charitable sources or otherwise. As all these elements are still undetermined, it is obvious that no definite reply can be given to the Question of the hon. and gallant Member.
