HC Deb 08 February 1881 vol 258 c345
CAPTAIN PRICE

asked the Secretary to the Admiralty, Whether any conclusion has yet been arrived at as to the re-organisation of the Royal Marine Corps; and, whether the Report of the Committee of 1880 upon this subject will be laid upon the Table of the House?

MR. TREVELYAN

Sir, the Board of Admiralty have come to the conclusion not to amalgamate the Royal Marine Light Infantry with the Royal Marine Artillery. The Report of the Committee, which was very much divided in opinion, will not be laid upon the Table of the House.
