§ SIR CHARLES W. DILKEHer Majesty's Government have no such information about Mukhtar Pasha. As far as we know, he is still Vali of the Vilayet of Monastir, and has the command of the troops in that district. We cannot state precisely what is the amount of the Ottoman Force in Macedonia and the adjoining territory; but we have no 717 reason to believe that it amounts to anything- like the number mentioned in the hon. Member's Question. Her Majesty's Government have confidential information with regard to the Military Forces of most of the European Powers; but it is of a kind which it would not be desirable to make public.
