HC Deb 26 February 1880 vol 250 c1440
MR. C. M. PALMER

asked Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, with reference to the Report of the Select Committee of last year on Wine Duties, Whether he is prepared to accept, in a greater or lesser degree, the recommendation of that Report, provided wine-growing countries are disposed to look to modifications of their tariffs on British goods?

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER
