asked the Secretary of State for War, Whether anything, and if so what, has been decided with reference to the voluntary retirement of Officers in respect to the reckoning of time of service before the age of twenty and when on half-pay service?

The recommendations of the Committee upon the service of young officers have been embodied in a Warrant which has been already approved and acted on, and will be published in the Army Circulars of March. The Warrant bears date the 5th of February.
