HC Deb 10 February 1880 vol 250 c382
MR. HANBURY TRACY

asked the Postmaster General, If it is the intention of the Government to introduce, early in the Session, a Bill to deal with the Law of Copyright?

LORD JOHN MANNERS,

in reply, said, that in consequence of there being so many important measures to be introduced in the course of the present Session, and of the complexity of the problems connected with the subject of copyright, Her Majesty's Government thought it would be expedient to postpone introducing a Bill dealing with that subject till next Session.
