HC Deb 10 February 1880 vol 250 c383
MR. MUNDELLA

The Bankruptcy Law Amendment Bill stands as the first Order of the Day on Thursday next. The Bill itself has not yet been delivered to Members. May I ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if it is intended to proceed with the measure before we have had an opportunity of seeing it? We at least ought to have the Bill in our hands.

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER

I am informed that the Bill will be in the hands of the House tomorrow. It is our first business, however, to make progress with the Relief of Distress (Ireland) Bill; and whether we are able to do that on Thursday must depend upon the progress we make with the debate on the Address.
