MR. SCLATER-BOOTH

said, he had withdrawn from the Paper his Amendments to the Poor Law Amendment Act (1876) Amendment Bill, in consequence of the hon. Member for Ashton's (Mr. Mellor's) statement, that he wished them to be postponed for a fortnight, in order that the Friendly Societies might have an opportunity of considering them. Whether he would again put them on the Paper or not he could not at present say.
