§ THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER,in reply, said, there had been a good deal of correspondence between the Treasury, the Speaker, and Messrs. Hansard, with regard to the contract for printing for the House of Commons, in order to obtain a more favourable contract for the public; but the corre-pondence was still going on, and no arrangement had yet been concluded. The correspondence would be produced before any contract was signed.
