HC Deb 05 August 1879 vol 249 c186
MR. OSBORNE MORGAN

asked the First Commissioner of Works, Whether his attention has been called to the recent Report of the Select Committee on Land Titles and Transfer, and particularly to the urgent recommendation therein contained— That the important work of surveying' and publishing the survey of England and Wales, both on the twenty-five inch to a mile and the six inch to a mile scale, should be proceeded with and completed with the least possible delay; and, whether he can hold out any hope that such recommendations will be acted upon and carried out?

MR. GERARD NOEL

, in reply, thanked the lion, and learned Member for having sent him a copy of the Report alluded to. At that moment, however, he could not say whether the recommendations contained therein could be acted upon or carried out. He could only repeat what he had before stated, that the Survey would be carried out in strict accordance with the original instructions.
