asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, Whether it his intention during this Session to deal with the question of superannuation in connection with the Police Forces?

MR. ASSHETON CROSS

, in reply, said, that, as he had stated the other day, there was no way of dealing with the subject of police superannuation except by paying them out of the rates, and that was a course he did not consider desirable.
