HC Deb 25 March 1878 vol 238 c1958
SIR WINDHAM ANSTRUTHER

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty, Whether he has any reason to suppose that the Crown Agent for Scotland was employed in relation to the purchase of the Clockmill property?

MR. W. H. SMITH

Sir, I must apologize for a slight inaccuracy of expression in the remark that fell from me in regard to this property when the Estimates were under discussion. I should have spoken of the solicitor in Scotland of Her Majesty's Woods and Forests. It was the solicitor who was employed in the negotiations that were carried on.
