HC Deb 25 July 1878 vol 242 cc221-2
MAJOR O'BEIRNE

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland, When the Government purpose coming to a decision as to the changes required in the constitution and administrative duties of the Board of Works, Ireland, and give effect to the recommendations made in the Report of the Committee appointed to inquire into the Board of Works?

SIR HENRY SELWIN-IBBETSON,

in reply, said, the Report of the Select Committee referred to contained so many suggestions and recommendations which required careful consideration, that he was afraid it would be hardly possible for the Government to come to any definite conclusion on the matter while the work of the Session was going on.
