§ THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUERI am fully conscious of the importance of the Motion to which the hon. Gentleman draws attention; but I am sorry to say that, in the present state of the Session and of the Public Business, the Government could not afford to give up Tuesday's Morning Sitting.
