HC Deb 04 July 1878 vol 241 c763
MR. O'CONNOR POWER

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland, If he has any objection to lay upon the Table of the House, and cause to be printed, a Copy of the influentially signed memorial recently presented to the Commissioners of National Education in Ireland, in favour of placing the teaching of the Irish language on the voluntary and results programme of the National Schools, under the same conditions as that of Latin, Greek, and French?

MR. J. LOWTHER

Sir, I have no objection to present the Memorial. The most convenient course would be for the hon. Gentleman to move for it and take it as an unopposed Return.
