HC Deb 08 March 1877 vol 232 c1567
MR. P. A. TAYLOR

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty, Whether his attention has been called to certain defects in the Law for the Government of the Navy as contained in "The Naval Discipline Act, 1866;" and, whether it is his intention to bring in a Bill this Session to amend the said Act?

MR. HUNT,

in reply, said, certain amendments in the Naval Discipline Act had been suggested to him, but they were for the most part verbal, and he did not think them of sufficient importance to justify the introduction of a Bill this Session. Supposing he did introduce a Bill, it would not be likely to touch the particular point in which the hon. Member was interested.
