HC Deb 07 June 1877 vol 234 c1441
THE O'DONOGHUE

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland, If he will place upon the Table of the House a Copy of the Memorial presented to the Lord Lieutenant praying for a mitigation of the sentence passed upon Daniel Foran by Mr. Justice Keogh at the last Assizes held at Tralee?

SIR MICHAEL HICKS-BEACH

No, Sir, I do not feel able to lay on the Table of the House the Memorial asked for. It would be contrary to the rule of the House to do so, and its publication would give an entirely erroneous impression.
