That the practice of commencing business in this House at hours varying on each day, and continuing its sittings up to indefinite and 689 unseasonable hours of the night and morning is at variance with experience as to the proper mode of transacting public business, and alike inconsistent with the convenience of Members and the discharge of the duties of this House,and I beg now, Sir, to move the Adjournment of the House for the purpose—
