HC Deb 14 June 1876 vol 229 c1821
COLONEL DYOTT

asked the Secretary of State for War, Whether two battalions of the 1st Regiment of Stafford Militia have been ordered under canvass without notice instead of into billets at Lichfield, as previously ordered, by reason of a Report made through the Local Government Board by the district medical officer, totally unsubstantiated, and notwithstanding proof having been afforded by the urban sanitary authority of Lichfield that the allegations contained in such Report of the medical officer were entirely without foundation?

[Mr. HaRdy not being present in his place, no Answer was given to the Question.]
