HC Deb 03 May 1875 vol 223 cc1960-1
LORD FREDERICK CAVENDISH

asked the First Lord of the Treasury, Whether it is his intention to introduce a Bill to amend the 10th Geo. 4, c. 14, Local and Personal Act, and if any appointment to the Vicarage of Halifax, now vacant, will be made, subject to such amendment?

MR. DISRAELI

, in reply, said, that the vicarage of Halifax had been only a short time vacant. There were circumstances of a very complicated nature connected with it, and he had ordered an investigation. Until that investigation had been terminated, he could not state what would be the course of the Government.
