asked Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, How many ten shilling gun licences have been issued in England and Wales during the last year of which he has Returns; also how many ten shilling gun licences have been issued during the same period in Ireland?

, in reply, said, that the number of gun licences issued in England and Wales in the year ending the 31st of March, 1874, was 116,586, and in Ireland it was 3,578. The accounts for the year ended the 31st of March, 1875, had not yet been made up.
