asked the Postmaster General, If he can inform the House within what period it is likely that definite arrangements will be made as to the pay of the persons employed in the minor establishments of the Post Office?

, in reply, said, that much time, care, and attention were required before definite arrangements could be made. He trusted, however, that he should be in a position to bring under the notice of the House a definite scheme shortly after Whitsuntide.
