HC Deb 08 June 1874 vol 219 c1158
MR. HANBURY

asked the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies, If he will state to the House on what day he intends to propose the Supplementary Estimate for the Government of the Gold Coast, which it was promised should be proposed early after the Whitsuntide Recess?

MR. J. LOWTHER

Sir, the Estimate is already prepared, and will be ready for presentation to the House whenever an opportunity can be obtained. As to fixing a day for the discussion, my right hon. Friend at the head of the Government is about to make a statement as to the course of Public Business, and he will probably give full information upon the point.
