HC Deb 13 May 1873 vol 215 cc1872-3
SIR HENRY SELWIN-IBBETSON

asked the President of the Local Government Board, If there is any reason for the doubt which exists in some districts as to the payment of half the salaries by the Government of Medical Officers and Inspectors of Nuisances appointed under the Public Health Act of 1872?

MR. HIBBERT,

in reply, said, he was not aware that any great doubt existed on the point. Wherever the appointments had been made according to the regulations and with the sanction of the Local Government Board the half salaries would be paid.
