HC Deb 18 March 1872 vol 210 cc118-9
VISCOUNT CRICHTON

asked the Secretary to the Treasury, If it is intended to bring in a Bill this Session to amend the Irish Drainage Act (26th and 27th Vict., c. 88); and, if so, how soon he will be able to introduce it?

MR. BAXTER

replied, that a communication was received on Friday last by the Treasury from the Board of Works in Ireland relative to a Bill for the amendment of the Irish Drainage Act; but, of course, there had not been time to consider the proposals made in that letter, and it would be for the Government to decide later on in the Session as to the introduction of a Bill to effect the desired object.
