HC Deb 27 June 1872 vol 212 cc288-9
COLONEL C. LINDSAY

asked the Secretary of State for War, When the Regulations for the future guidance of the Auxiliary Forces will be issued, and on what day they will take effect?

MR. CARDWELL

As I promised on Monday, the case of the surgeons will be re-considered. It never was intended to apply the new Regulations in any case in which the corps had not had due notice of them. Every commanding officer and every adjutant had a copy sent to him in the beginning of the present month, and inspecting officers have received instructions not to apply the article with regard to inspections to any corps inspected before the 6th of July.
