HC Deb 20 June 1872 vol 211 c1994
MR. NORWOOD

asked the Secretary of State for War, Whether his attention has been drawn to the desirability of permitting Volunteers, who on account of business engagements are absent from their own head quarters, to be attached (with the consent of commanding officers) to corps in the neighbourhood in which they may be staying, and under proper vouchers from the adjutant of the corps to which they may be so attached, to be returned, as efficients, in the annual return of the corps to which they belong?

MR. CARDWELL

, in reply, said, his attention had been directed to this subject, and in the draft of an Order in Council, to be circulated to-morrow, provision was made to meet the case referred to.
