§ MR. HOLMSasked the First Commissioner of Works, What steps have been taken since the 11th of March, when this subject was brought under his notice by a question in this House, to have the Bathing Ponds in Victoria Park cleaned out and improved; and, when he expects such work to be completed?
§ MR. AYRTONsaid, in reply, that steps had been taken to obtain a supply of fresh water for the bathing ponds in Victoria Park by means of boring, and that the necessary works would be completed in a short time. It was not desirable to empty the lakes during the present warm weather, but when the proper season arrived they would be cleaned out. It was impossible to say how long the latter operation would take.
