§ MR. DISRAELIWith reference to our relations with the United States, I wish to inquire of the right hon. Gentleman at the head of Her Majesty's Government, Whether he has received any information which will enable him to inform the House when the Answer may probably be received as to the friendly communication addressed to the American Government?
MR. GLADSTONEI have no official information upon that subject; but I learnt from the Foreign Secretary two minutes ago, that in conversation, the American Minister had told him that he did not think the answer would arrive until after the 1st of March.
