REEDasked the Postmaster General, What action is intended to be taken upon the recommendations contained in the Report on Sunday Labour in the Post Office, presented on the 13th of February last; and in the event of any decision having been arrived at, whether the same may be communicated to the House?
§ MR. MONSELLreplied that, with regard to the recommendations of the Report on this subject presented last February, the Postmaster General had a power of dispensing with the rule in cases where the public would suffer great inconvenience. Any decision on the subject he should be happy to communicate to the House.
