asked the Controller of the Ordnance, Whether any official or other information has reached the War Office that the Breech-loading Field Guns in use in the late campaign of the Prussian Armies in France have partially failed; and, whether such reputed failure has influenced the War Office to adopt the principle of Muzzle-loading for Field Artillery for the British Army?
