THE COMPTROLLER OF THE HOUSEHOLD (Lord OTHO FITZGERALD)

reported Her Majesty's Answer to the Address [20th June], as follows:— I have received your Address, praying that I will be pleased to disallow the Statute by which Membership of the Church of England is for the first time imposed as a qualification for appointment to the Governing Body of Harrow School. I shall signify my disapproval of that part of the Statute.

It being now Seven of the Clock, the House suspended its Sitting.

The House resumed its Sitting at Nine of the Clock.
