HC Deb 01 March 1870 vol 199 c995
MR. SIMONDS

said, he would beg to ask the Secretary of State for War, If it is intended to re-establish the Third Brigade of Infantry at Aldershot, which has been broken up during the winter months; and, if not, whether the Brigade Major is not entitled to some consideration, seeing that the necessary expenditure of such officer entails upon him a loss in amount of more than his regimental pay and staff allowances?

CAPTAIN VIVIAN

replied, that it was intended to establish the third brigade of infantry at Aldershot for the drill season during the summer months, commencing in April, and the brigade major would be re-appointed.
